Okay, I’m just as bad at keeping up with a blog as I am with email! Sorry!
As many of you know I was admitted into the hospital yesterday for my video EEG. I have several electrodes attached to my scalp and two video cameras in the room that record me and my brain waves 24/7. I also have a very stylish pink and purple bandage wrapped around my head to keep the wires, which are attached with model airplane glue, all intact. Needless to say I will be going to the salon when all is said and done.
Now all we need is for me to have a few seizures. Funny thing is when you don’t want to have seizures they come but when you want to have one, well it just doesn’t happen on command. So my doctor took me off of my medication this morning and tonight we are going to try a little sleep deprivation. What we are looking for is if these are epileptic or non epileptic seizures. Once we figure this out then we will come up with a treatment plan.
This is a very short explanation of a very complicated situation but that’s it in a nut shell. I want to let everyone know that I’m doing very well and for the most part am in good spirits. I also wanted to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers, I am truly blessed to have you all in my life.
With this I leave you with a message from our Heavenly Father:
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
For that I am so thankful!
Love, Victoria
